UNDATED (KTIV) –
A Sioux County Sheriff’s Deputy and his canine partner place second in a 3-day national competition.
Deputy Justin De Bruin and Sonny came in second out of 47 teams at the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) patrol dog narcotic trials in Anamosa, Iowa.
The trials consist of searching five cars and three rooms to find four different hidden drugs: methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and marijuana.
The department says their dedication and training are an asset to the Sheriff’s Office and the public.
