NUEVO LAREDO.- Young people and adults neolaredenses volunteers joined the activities of the Association for the protection of Animals (APA), to collect resources that support the new critters that arrive at the shelter.
And is that in the next week, the association on behalf of the animals, you will receive approximately 20 pets, between dogs and cats by the Centre anti-rabies.
“We got in touch with the association and I discussed that we were in all the available to help them, we know that many dogs need our help,” said Daisy Chavez, one of the young volunteers.
María Jiménez, president of APA, said that it tripled the activities such as fundraising events, bingos and campaigns of adoption.
“A group of young people joined the APA to help us raise money and motivate people to donate items to help support puppies and kittens,” he said.
Yesterday morning in the Plaza Ignacio Zaragoza, located on Paseo Colón, volunteers and staff of the association made a collection of economic.
“We ask a lot of the people that support us with what you can, if it is not money we also can donate newspapers, cleaning products or medicines,” said the president of APA.
Not yet defined what a day, staff of the APA will visit the Center anti-rabies to pick up the stuffed animals that will not be sacrificed, and to monitor the correct way of sacrifice to the pets that are in the terminal phase.
He stressed that they required more people to join the activities of APA, as well as the visit to the shelter and support in the care of the animals.
