The next 20th of June there will be a new edition of the Correcaninata “The Dog and the man”, organized by the Nautical Center of the Fort and the Canine Association Tandil.
The registration of the same is planned for the 14:00 hs while the start will commence at 15:00 pm in the Municipal Sports center (lakeside Promenade).
The Correcaninata “The dog and the man” has 2 categories are well differentiated: the competitive, over a distance of 3200 metres approximately with a value of $150 and participatory with a distance of 1500 metres and a value of $120, designed for those who want to participate non-competitively alongside their pets.
Even so, the participants of both categories will receive trophies or souvenirs of the test by the mere fact of crossing the finish line.

A BIT OF HISTORY
The Correcaniata “the Dog and the man” was born as a sporting competition in the year 1999. By that time, the veterinary doctor July, Simon was president of the Canine Association Tandil and offers to the Nautical Center of the Fort to make a competition combining the athlete with the dog. What in Europe is known as a sport under the name of “canicross” (team athlete-dog).
The first edition was held in December 1999 with a total of 81 enrolled to the start line but the greatest satisfaction, for both institutions, the day will arrive that the International Federation offered to organize the First south American Championship for Canicross and Bikejoring (team athlete in a bike-dog). This championship took place on 24,25 and 26 June 2005, with the participation of athletes from Chile, Peru and Bolivia and various parts of our country.
