BELLINGHAM, Wash. — It’s a busy week for Bellingham Police and What-Comm Dispatchers.
K9 units from around the state, including patrol, narcotics and explosives detection teams, are gathering in our area for the Washington State Police Canine Association annual spring seminar.
This also happens to be National Public Safety Dispatcher Appreciation Week, who Bellingham police say on their Facebook are the true first responders.
The post says in addition to their compassion and professionalism, our local dispatchers also organize a back-to-school supply drive, food bank drive and the giving tree.
