The Biopark City of the Municipal Government proceeded to rescue a wild animal (parrot) that was being marketed on social networks.
Luis Morales, a veterinarian of the bio-park City, pointed out that the central objective of the center-of-custody is to ensure the well-being of the animals, especially wild.
“All the wild animals, by law, belong to the bolivian State, the Environmental Law prohibits the sale, transport and everything that relates to the management without the permission of these animals,” he said.
He indicated that the day Tuesday, in the morning hours, they received a complaint about the sale of a parrot through the social network Facebook.
“A female person was marketing a parrot talkative in a social network and made the follow-up in coordination with the humane Society. We got in direct contact with the Unit of the Bolivian Police that is in charge to address this type of cases and in the early hours of the afternoon, we found the person”.
Morales asserted that he made the forfeiture of the wild animal for hosting the event at the Biopark City. “As a unit of the Biopark, we albergaremos the little animal to give you a better quality of life,” he explained.
