Madrid, 25 jul (EFE).- The Spanish Government will go to the Constitutional Court law, approved yesterday by the regional Parliament of the Balearic islands (archipelago in mediterranean), which prohibits mistreating and killing the bulls in the bullfights, said today the Foundation of the Toro de Lidia. The secretary of State for Culture, Fernando Benzo, it has been announced today to the representatives of this foundation in a meeting which was also attended by the director general of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage, Luis Lafuente. The law of the balearic islands, says a press release of this institution taurine, is «a trick legal which is intended to prohibit the bullfights denaturing their essence and making them so unrecognizable» With the new rule, adopted with the votes of the left parties and the opposition Popular Party (centre-right), and Citizens (liberal), the toreros will only be able to use the capote and the muleta, and is deleted of bullfighting, flags, stocks and lace. The new Law of Bullfighting and Animal Protection in the Balearic Islands establishes that on each run you should only be able to fight three animals during a maximum time of 10 minutes each, after which they will return to the pens and then to their farms of origin.
