Felipe Cisternas: “The Maule South should be a pioneer in responsible pet ownership”
“During the last time I transfer within the district, and especially in Linares, to know first-hand the situation faced daily with the groupings. There is no mystery about the number of dogs bums that are in the 11 communes. This situation makes it necessary to be pioneers in implementing in conjunction with municipalities, government and parliamentarians a plan of responsible pet ownership,” said attorney Philip Cisterns.
In the same line, Wells was emphatic in recognizing the gaps that have multiple animals in the care, hygiene, and tenure: “the situation of infrastructure and conditions in which is found the Society for the protection of Animals in Linares, requires the commitment and support of an urgent, on the part of the authorities and the neighbours of the commune. It is a priority to enact the Law Cholito, with character immediately in the senate after being approved in the lower house”.
In addition, he thanked the officers Herminia Gajardo, of the humane Society, and Rosa Ponce, president of the group for the Animal Defense Linares , stating that “they are neighbours specimens with a social commitment remarkable. In our meetings there are several points that are of priority for both groups, from regularize situations that allow the improvement of its facilities, or a cemetery for pets.”
The responsible tenure that went into processing, is to register the pet with the competent authority, where appropriate. Provide food, shelter, and a good deal, providing the veterinary care essential to their well-being. In addition, not to subject it to suffering throughout his life, respect the rules of public health and safety that are applied to the animals.
