Tulum, Q. Roo.- The city of Tulum and Non-Governmental Organizations (Ngos), carried out the Reinstallation of the Citizen Council for Municipal Care and Animal Welfare from Tulum.
On behalf of Romualda Dzul Caamal, municipal president, the councillor Lenny Perez Salazar, said that “these bodies of institutional co-ordination and invite citizens to participate in set actions and ensure that the rights of animals in Quintana Roo”.
In attachment to Regulation of Protection and Animal Welfare of Tulum, joined the Advisory Council. This action will ensure animal protection, but also ensure the health of the community that may be affected by an animal that is sick.
It was said that the protection of the fauna is to talk about the wildlife that is in danger of extinction, domestic animals, exhibition, abandoned, abused. For it was created in the year 2013 the Law on Protection and Animal Welfare in the State of Quintana Roo.
“This law is very clear: to protect animals, to ensure their welfare, provide them with attention, good treatment, support, prevent abuse and suffering. In compliance with the provisions of this law was that it created the Advisory Councils”.
The past July 26, in the presence of the Secretary of Ecology and Environment (SEMA), Alfredo Arellano Guillermo is signed on the Reinstallation of the Council of Quintana Roo, being based in Tulum.
After the decision of protest, signed the document, the members of the Board: Francis Chan Chablé, director of Ecology; Sonia Vega, director of Health; Eugene Sing Balam, ruler of the Commission of Tourism and Ecology; Lina Sheet, the Protective Association of Animals and Marlene Pacheco, coordinator of Gender Equity among others.
