Glasgow Police Department welcomes new K-9 Officer – WBKO – WBKO

GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) — The Glasgow Police Department is welcoming a new officer named Zeke, and he’s a 22 month old German Shepherd.

Zeke is from Germany and is a dual purpose patrol dog trained for narcotic detection, tracking, criminal apprehension, building search’s and article/evidence search. Zeke is certified through the United States Police Canine Association.

Officer Nick Houchens, who has been with the Glasgow Police Department for six years will be Zeke’s handler.

Both Houchens and Zeke attended a ten week course in Tennessee, and have recently graduated. They are now patrolling the Glasgow community.
