The mayor of San Martín, Gabriel Katopodis, called for «a substantive change in the Police and the Justice system» and noted that what happened in this district with the crime of «Araceli» Fulles «has to be a case witness to a new system of research and security in the province of Buenos Aires, which today is collapsed».
«We demand the creation of the office of the Prosecutor of Gender in the city. What Araceli was a femicide, was murdered by her condition of woman,» said Katopodis.
The mayor of San Martin said that it takes «five years to claim the province and the Nation by changes in the security forces» of that municipality.
«We need that staff files are clean, committed to taking care of the neighbors and fight crime,» said chief community.
In addition, Katopodis asked to «create a judicial police force of criminal investigation for Justice to work with its own force and not with the buenos aires» to consider that «serious crimes such as ‘femicide’ should be treated with a professional and specialized team».
The Municipality noted that it worked from the first moment with the search for Araceli and made available all the tools of the State for the rakes.
In addition, it remained in permanent contact with the family providing psychological and legal aid, through the Programme of Assistance to the Victims.
Also, managed the incorporation of the Body Canine «K9», dependent of the Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Punta Alta (White Bay), specialized in the search of missing persons, which was key in the procedure to find Araceli.
