Following a tradition of French presidents at the beginning of his mandate, the new French president Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte adopted a dog that was called “Nemo”, reported today official sources.
It is a black dog over a year old, a cross breed of griffon and labrador, who was in a society of protection of animals in the south of France.
The can was baptized with the name of “Nemo”, in homage to captain Nemo from the book “Twenty thousand leagues under the sea submarine tour”, French author jules Verne.
The mascot was seen today in the courtyard of the presidential Palace of the Elysée, where she lives, during the reception of Macron of an african head of State, during which the dog posed before the photographers in the company of the two rulers.
