San Mateo Otzacatipan, Toluca.-Last Friday, a victim of attacks by packs of dogs in the community of San Mateo Otzacatipan, Toluca, lost his life. It was a young person of 18 years of age, who, from the injuries caused by the dogs, they had to amputate an arm and a leg, reported the mayor Fernando Zamora Morales.

He pointed out that, so far, the raids will only be conducted if there are complaints, because the law cannot touch any single dog, without first having a complaint on the part of the people.

«A boy was almost going to meet 19 years old and, well, the day of yesterday they buried him. It is very regrettable that, on these facts, we lose a human life. Also I want to say that we were very attentive to all your expenses, we will pay the expenses of the hospital, we took charge of the expenses of the burial and were with the family at all times,” he said.

In regards to the woman who was allegedly attacked by a pack of dogs in the town of Tlacotepec, Zamora Morales stated that there was no such aggression.

«The lady told us that she had not been bitten, but had been harassed by a group of dogs and we are already well-tuned,” he said.

Finally, he said that the 42 dogs that were in the Animal Control Center and that allegedly belonged to the pack that attacked in the town of San Mateo Otzacatipan, since the data were collected by the Protector of Animals.
