The City Council wants to know what fate is given to dogs and cats that are found in the former Rural.
It is an initiative of the councillor of Union-PRO Federal, Carlos Cardozo, who submitted a draft, approved yesterday, which requests a report about the «relocation of 35 dogs and 12 cats» installed in the Exhibition building of Rosario, of the former Rural Society, in the park of Independence.
The council member explained to The Capital, which the municipality ceded to a protective part of the sector in rear of the place, but now he warned that the animals should be removed in function of the next realization of a work in the premises.
The topic naked a concern that grows: what to do with these pets, because, «the Imusa (Municipal Institute of Animal Health) is saturated and your new site is still under construction,» said the mayor.
That’s why, Cardozo wanted to know whether it has found an alternative to the protective «carry out their selfless work».
For the councillor, the decision to remove the animals from the former Rural, «highlights that will be protective who will now have to find a space, since the municipality does not have the capacity of accommodation».
The dogs and cats that are still in the former Rural are in adoption and sanitary controlled, but will now have another accommodation on the basis that they can’t stay there and not in the spaces that depend on the Imusa.
