There are many things that could be done in a matter of public policy in favor of pets, but the factor education is the base, and has not been touched in some initiatives, said the president of the Club Canófilo The Corregidor, Teresa Rodríguez Irizar, to present the XV edition of the Expo Canine 2017 to be held from may 18 to 21 at the Queretaro Congress Center.
He pointed out that education is paramount to generate owners responsible, something that your association has implemented since its birth through the visit to the schools of the metropolitan area, where they have succeeded in forming consciousness.
“It’s been 15 years visiting schools of all kinds, to teach children to be responsible with their pets, to have a tenancy as it should be, ( … ), we believe that if we educate children and young people, we’re going to have a society with responsible and educated, we believe that education, dialogue, and knowledge are basic to achieve what we are creating that are the owners responsible for pets”.
He said that there are instances suitable for both public and private, to educate children and young people, so that should be harnessed to raise awareness and create a responsible ownership.
The Club Canófilo will be the Expo Canine Queretaro 2017 that will be held from 18 to 21 may at the Querétaro Congress Center, with the participation of 500 competitors of different breeds of the united States, Canada, Central and South america, » he said.
“One of the main objectives is to give the audience the different roles that the dogs perform in the service of man as detectors of drugs and food, dogs of search and rescue, guide for the blind, guard and protection, therapy, herding and tracking”.
He indicated that the visitors will be able to go with their pets, which must register through the club page or the day of the event, which will have access to different activities such as pets dressed up, the dog most like its owner and children and young handlers.
He said that the cost of the event is symbolic, ranging from 20 pesos for children and 50 pesos for adults, noting that from Thursday to Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 in the morning, access will be free.
