Iguazu (LAVOZ) The ordinance aims to regulate the responsible ownership, requirements for transit through public roads, care, protection, and control of domestic animals or pets.
Shall be deemed domestic animals, or pets, to all those who have a responsible for their actions and that is identified as the owner or keeper or holder of the same.
Animals of the same type that are not living in a private home, will be considered as abandoned animals in the public way no owner.
Shall be prohibited the killing of dogs as a method of control of overpopulation of the same.
Will be adopted as a method to control the overpopulation of dogs around the area of Iguazu to the surgical sterilization, understanding by it the removal of gonads, ovaries and testes.
The program of sterilization of dogs must comply with the objectives of:
Be free to the entire population
Massive, covering the largest amount of population canine/feline.
Extended, bringing the service to the neighborhoods
Systematic. Sustained in the time
It shall be prohibited to the owners pets wander in the public road or in places of public use.
